Cari-ism #648

Ever felt bouncy?

Last night, leaving Doyle's, I had a bouncy moment. Maybe I had a cheerleading flashback, maybe Sherry's Pooh blanket rubbed off on me, I'm sure I'll never know.

Regardless, one thing is certain. My cheerleading days are long gone. Not only can I no longer kick my leg over my head without displacing at least 5 vertebrae, but when performing a simple herkie jump, I managed to kick my own hand hard enough to bruise it and break a nail.

Went to the 2nd official Minnesota Swarm Lacrosse game at the Xcel Center in St. Paul. The deadly swarm lost but it was a great time. I suppose partly just to be a the Xcel, but mostly to be with Randy & Sherry & Derek & the UMD Lacrosse guys. Tom Reid's serves good drinks, great company and a station wagon parked in front of your car. All for a reasonable rate. We won't talk about the impromptu tow. Or the raspberry vodka and mixed berry 7-Ups that taste like dreams on the good ship lollipop. Also, whatever they say about twenty-something boys is all wrong. Except most of it. I cringe to think where I'd be without my great friends. And a cab :)

Feeling Guilty

For having the tiniest nagging doubt that the Vikes will win on Sunday.

New Stuff

  • Hit Men DJs is now being advertised on The Knot. It was a mad rush to get at least the wedding pages looking good and as of now, you can pay your deposit online using PayPal if you want to book Hit Men DJs!

  • I taught myself how to knit last week and spent over 8 hours making a scarf for Emily that I thought would take 2 hours. Apparently, the guage of needles I used = 6-8 stitches per inch where the guage I estimated by = 2 stiches per inch. Notable? That I also decided I would make 3 more. By this Sunday. This Friday is an all-nighter-scarf-knitting-party. Wanna come?

  • The Vikings go to Philly this Sunday after stuffing a loss clear down Brett Favre's throat. Sorry Wendy, we love your stew and company, but there's no love lost with your team :). At least you won the first time we got together!

  • Sigh. Someday, I'll get to sleep before 3am and wake up without such hatred towards the light.

Hope you're all well! Go Vikes!
