Blow Me Away

“Several mobile homes were missing Wednesday from Eagle Pass, a community of about 26,000 residents, officials said, and more than 70 people were reported injured.”

Missing

Wow.

There are at least 10 dead. An entire family huddled together in a mobile home. Tragic.

What crazy weather. Mother Nature is pissed!

I can't link to the story I pulled the quote from, but here's the story on cnn.

Virginia Tech

Thirty-three people are dead. 33. By a lone gunman? It's unimaginable. Horrifying.

There were two shootings yesterday morning. Two hours apart. The killer was methodical. Pre-meditation is an understatement.

I can't imagine the anguish that the victims, most just kids, felt when their dorm or classroom was filled with hate filled words and gunfire.

And by someone filled with jealousy and rage over what? Lifestyle? Not fiting in? He called out rich kids yet he had two very expensive weapons. An ammunition vest and obviously plenty of bullets.

I'm appalled that a human being could take so many lives and be such a coward as to take his own instead of facing what he'd done. I don't even have the words.

The media is also once again glorifying the act. I understand the need to report, however, I don't think it's an accident that the gunman specifically called out the Columbine shooters in his rants. He was inspired by them. Because of the sensationalized story. Too much energy has already been spent on this asshole. It's time to focus on the victims and the victims include not only those dead or injured, but the survivors as well.
